Still a diver.
Five and a Kick: Herbie goes bananas with blistering try as Dolphins give Eels the slip
The Bears are there for the TV deal. No more, no less.
Perth Bears launched as V'landys blasts 'biased ... clickbait' paper's front page
He faked injury, he stopped the game for the injury, he made a miracle recovery after getting a penalty. The definition of a diver.
Five and a Kick: Herbie goes bananas with blistering try as Dolphins give Eels the slip
Herbie Fainworth is a diver. Should be fined for staging.
Five and a Kick: Herbie goes bananas with blistering try as Dolphins give Eels the slip
The fine for staging/diving would be simple. Just do it after the game. See how the player plays and acts for the rest of the game after the staging incident and fine them if they show no effects, ie replaced, concussion protocol. Teams/players can appeal but if unsuccessful the fine doubles.
'Lying down in order to milk a penalty': Lawyer slams NRL over players diving after Preston fails at judiciary
Staging or diving is a blight on any sport. Soccer is cursed by it. NRL should start fining staging and it will end real quick.
'Lying down in order to milk a penalty': Lawyer slams NRL over players diving after Preston fails at judiciary
Salary cap and the Broncos. Two things that are never seen together. Brisbane is a big city with lots of bronco friendly sponsors who are happy to pay players off the salary cap record. The Roosters are the same.
NRL News: Perth Bears deal officially sealed, star Rooster set for immediate switch, Hayne cleared for comeback
Why even bother having away jersey’s!
As a side note: saw a few times the kids who deliver the kicking tees stay on the field and watch the kick, even when its a penalty. All it takes is for the ball to hit the post and bounce back into play! Seen it for a few weeks now.
NRL Magic Round Talking Points: Forget ninth, Tigers will definitely play finals this year
Agree that the North Bears links need to be downplayed if not totally lost. It needs to be a Perth Team representing Perth if it is to have any chance of financial survival beyond 3 years. It is all about the broadcast deal and once that deal is signed I expect the Perth team to fade into a costly loss and the NRL will continue to thrive on the east coast and New Zealand. PS from past experiences I also expect the PNG side to struggle financially within 3 years of starting. You have to win matches regularly to separate sponsors from their money in any large amounts, neither Perth of PNG will do this.
Reviving Bears brand may be a popular decision in some quarters but it’s not the right one for Perth expansion
I would have thought a second Brisbane team or second New Zealand team would have been a sounder choice for the NRL than another WA experiment.
Bears are back after grizzly demise in Super League war: Why WA should embrace their long lost cousins
Just watched Premier Cook given a very much less than concrete approval at an election press conference with Albo. In fact he said nothing had been finalised. Would have sent shivers into the NRL/ARL head honchos. Clearly wants more money and more investments.
'Pretty f--king happy!' Bears on brink of return as NRL and WA government come to terms, inaugural coach firming
WA is a desert full of expensive NRL follies. I was there in the 90’s with 10 others watching the Reds do the rounds. It was all about TV time slots and advertising and some people making quick money, as it is now. WA has little interest in its own team, it lacks a parochial crowd. And remember a WA team will not be like a Melbourne, instead it will be forever losing to jet lagged teams and flogged when it plays on the east coast. It will be a team of almost good players getting a pretty big cash boost at the end of their careers and a coach that also wants the money. AND what happens when Cook is no longer premier.

Whilst the RLPA and the player managers have control of contracts nothing will change as the current scheme benefits them and they really don’t care about the effects on the clubs or supporters.
Transfer turmoil: NRL's broken system leaves fans frustrated and clubs in permanent state of chaos
I thought Gus Gould had a state funeral!
Five and a Kick: Sharks slice and dice toothless Knights, Hasler’s horror show worsens as Raiders run down woeful Titans
It all comes down to the negative influence of player managers. Isn’t one a host on a nightly Foxsports show! Name another sport that has a free and open market for players and player managers to exploit! The NRL needs a trading season and a draft much like the AFL, but players managers and the players association together went to court to stop it knowing full well that they could keep playing their salaries games. Good on the Tigers for saying enough is enough.
Too much, too soon: The one thing Lachie Galvin doesn’t get no matter how hard his agent whinges

Round 6 Talking Points: Meet footy's most under-rated prop, and WA proves it's a must-have
Code swappers sell their souls for money their managers promise. Shouldn’t expects fans to embrace them. Play the sport you enjoy and love.
All Blacks, NRL or the Wallabies? Waugh says RA has 'open mind' after report Joey Manu wants to come home
I watch every game, being addicted to supercoach, and have heard several times this year. Its along the lines of “um interesting replay, but we will leave that to the after-show to talk about, back to the game” paraphrasing. Have not heard a single rant, even Blocker has been biting his tongue compared to last year. Perhaps only Dan Ginnane goes on a little.
Hey Abdo, want to protect referees? How about ban stupid questions, muzzle journos and commentators?
Your comment about Foxsports commentators is outdated. This year Warren Smith and others on foxsports live commentary actively avoid criticizing refs. They have taken to just moving on and calling the game. Which is what I want. Can not comment on the Free to Air as I don’t watch them.

Warriors are not warriors but are the Divers. No team consistently plays for penalties as much as the Worriers. Refs are slowly waking up to them.
Five and a Kick: DCE drops 'smear' bombshell on Manly after sinking Eels, CNK's dive gets Warriors home over Tigers
DCE falls over when he wants to, it doesn’t take much to knock him off his feet. Serial penalty puller always with a smile.
NRL Round 3 Talking Points: Haas too great for his own good, and should Cleary have been cited for Hughes clash?
Does the performance of refs get seriously reviewed? The guy doing the Manly v Canberra game changed the game with a number of iffy decisions.
Five and a Kick: Eagles roll Raiders but rocked by Achilles tear, Dogs offside with ref over dodgy ploy to bamboozle Eels
Walsh had a great year last year. Having a second great year is a lot harder as clubs seem to have worked out his faults.
NRL Judiciary: Tigers recruit in strife for crusher tackle, Rabbitoh pinged for hip drop, Walsh charged over Taulagi hit
I hate all the away game jerseys. A cynical money grab that erodes the fan loyalty. Clubs should be made to go through hell to change a jersey.
NRL Vegas Talking Points: Too many games, Warriors a worry and are Sharks the real deal?
You have to find the players who will take the extra money, enjoy the quietness of the NRL in Perth, have a high tolerance of jet lag, turn up each week to give a bit of a go, can cope with losing and then after 2-3 years retire or move back to the east coast to a bigger house with views. Fond memories of League in WA in the 1990’s.
