And to be fair they don’t have to wear a purple strip.
That in itself would be horrible to deal with.

I always picture Don as Grandpa Simpson in Freo pajamas shouting at clouds.
And apologies I’m in a rubbish mood today – work really sucks.
AFL Tipping: The Roar's expert tips and predictions, Round 9 - It's Showdown time in the toughest tipster week of the year
No simpleDon, it is scheduled as an away game and the opposition requested the game be played at the G.
So direct your complaint to the team that requested the venue change.
Also note you didn’t address the ACTUAL facts that were presented. But you’ve never let facts get in the way before…..

Is that you Don?

As usual Don, facts don’t interfere with your blather.
The 7 games below show not a single game to date has been hosted to advantage Collingwood. I’m assuming we are allowed to play our home games at the G.
– 3 of the 7 games interstate.
– 1 away game at the G as per request from Footscray (please complain to the Dogs)
– 3 home games at G against Carlton, Essendon, Geelong
Round 1 – at GWS
Round 2 – Footscray – who asked for game to be played at G
Round 3 – bye
Round 4 – Carlton at G (so no advantage)
Round 5 – Sydney in Adelaide
Round 6 – Brisbane at Gabba
Round 7 – Essendon Anzac Day (pies home game) at G (so no advantage)
Round 8 – Geelong at G (Pies home game)

You have a point Macca – will take some additional effort to manage the list due to age.
And this in turn will impact selection and continuity.
The best teams generally run out the same team for the majority of matches.
Time will tell. We still have a few out, and a few running at well below optimal form.
Hoping we get some consistency towards back end of the year.
And thankfully we play the rest of our games at the G, with the opposition only allowed to field 16 players, with two of our runners also umpiring (*according to NH).

Gee you carry on with the travel complaint.
Last time we travelled we beat the premiers at home by a very large margin.
We are probably in the top 3 travelling teams in the comp.
And all Melbourne teams want to play us at the MCG to maximize their OWN gates.
In fact your beloved Footscray specifically asked to play your home game at the MCG earlier this year to maximize the crowd – did you complain then?
Check out the articles rating the draw difficulty – Pies are not at the top for an easy draw. Some teams get to play WC, Rich, and North multiple times – maybe be a bit more nuanced in your constant harping.

Not sure it’s arrogance from Collingwood, they know they have to rest some of the older group, and also have a few niggles. Almost feels like they are prepared to concede this game.
I agree they’ll probably lose, as the Dockers should be very fired up after last game, and Pies are on a 5 day break.
Having said that the Pies generally travel quite well and the ins will be very keen to show what they can do. We’ll know by qtr time if the Pies have turned up.

I haven’t heard a single Pies supporter complain about the umpiring.
David King does not represent the Pies supporter group.
We should have won the game – poor goal kicking cost us in the end.
We’ve received some favorable umpiring over the years, and so when a few calls go against you, it’s time to take it on the chin and move on.
Well done to Geelong for hanging in there when we were well on top.

Don – Thanks for tipping against the Pies.

Nobody like a dirty little annoying tagger.
Except of course if they play for your team!
Too old, too good: 30 is the new 25 in modern footy - here's why
Who wouldn’t like to see Ballantyne get punched in the face (in a boxing ring)?!!
Include Ryan Crowley for good measure.
Too old, too good: 30 is the new 25 in modern footy - here's why
Pendles gets caught holding the ball quite often these days – often more than once a game.
Basically never used to happen. Shows he is definitely a step and a swerve slower than before.
However his reading of the game, ability to organize the team, and game management are still elite – which makes up for the slowing down (for now).

Sensible – clearly unintentional and the action was initiated by the opponent.

AFL Power Rankings: Blues rise FOUR spots... but are they in the top eight?
Should someone have the moniker “guru” if they are a moron?
Like a few weeks back when Cox got punched squarely in the face and no report was laid?
Is that is favoritism you are referring to?

So being consistently wrong is better than just keeping your mouth shut?
What a load of rubbish. At least have the balls to admit when you are wrong, although that would take a lot of balls for the level of wrong you are.
The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 6: Who'll get the chocolates this Easter... and who will rise on Good Friday?
Astounded Daicos had 34 touches. Long and Sidey were superb. Getting 34 off a hard tag is ridiculous, he works so hard. Opens the game up for others when the opposition focus on Nick.
Footy Fix: The Swans tried to tag Nick Daicos. It probably cost them the game
Might be a better chance of making a final this year than your lot Macca….
Although with your draw you should still make it.

I agree with Don and feel the need to see a doctor.
Can anyone else small toast?

Comment from NH a cocktail of ignorance and arrogance.
NH – “They’ll never be a proper footy club”. Please define a proper footy club.
Will they be a proper footy club when they win more than 2 premierships?
Or is it the way they were created by the nasty people at the AFL? Or because they are based on the Gold Coast?
Another demonstrably false statement – only girls play AFL in Queensland. Not hard to see the male part of the population running out each week, and providing increasingly more players through academies and drafts.
And this is a result of the huge investment the AFL is putting into AFL in Qld and NSW. Yes, more teams means more content and more TV dollars. And this in turn means more investment, more Auskick, more supporters, more players and that in turn will result in more better players and a higher standard comp.
Thankfully the AFL aren’t short sighted parochial dinosaurs – they are playing a long game.
This site is full of aggrieved, excuse making whiners who can see about as far as the end of their noses when it comes to anything outside of their own team.
Seriously, grow up.
15 years in, Gold Coast are finally good. Here's why you should care
Not sure if this comment is more arrogant or ignorant – probably a disappointing mixture of both.
They’ll never be a proper footy club – what a completely moronic thing to say.
Only girls play footy in Qld, not boys – again, demonstrably false.
NSW and QLD are both producing league quality footballers as evidenced by academies and drafting. This is a direct result of the huge investment and long game being played by the AFL.
Thankfully they don’t have the parochial short sighted mentality of certain people.
15 years in, Gold Coast are finally good. Here's why you should care
Everyone: Collingwood doesn’t have to travel.
Clubs: could we please play Pies at the G to maximize our gate returns.
Please ask Geelong if they want to play Pies at the G or at Geelong.
And of course Pies don’t want to play GWS at GWS because GWS are now a good team. If they were rubbish the Pies would be more than happy to travel.
AFL News: 'Incredibly remorseful' Eagles skipper apologises for Mitchell meeting, Pies' Opening Round request mocked
What a load of tripe. Every club has good supporters and bad supporters.
Supporters that are completely one eyed bordering on delusional. Supporters that rip into their teams when they simply aren’t as good as the opposition.
Or supporters that are mature enough to admit when they get beaten by a better team, or that they got a good run from the umps.
Can we please stop suggesting that every supporter group is a homogenous group of people that all think and act the same.
Collingwood fans are the biggest whingers in the comp - and it might be softening up their team
Hi Chris – Pies played terrible football under Buckley in pretty much every year except 2018 when he was somewhat sidelined. Slow, predictable, and easily defended – pretty much what Freo is.
Footy Fix: The Pies are fast, furious, fearless and fantastically coached - everything Fremantle aren't
