Loyal rugby follower. Wasn’t a particularly good player but just loved the comradeship of it all. Ref now in country Qld.

Don’t the women have a straight free kick for dodgy contestable lineouts or is this a Super Rugby trial thing?
Wallaroos' drought against Black Ferns continues despite second-half comeback
To keep the margin under 30 was a win for the Wallaroos, I reckon. Though there was some pretty bad ruck defence there that was embarrassing. Set piece was surprisingly good against the world champs.
Caslick is wasted on the wing & Yapp missed a trick in not putting her at fullback for the second half. Moleka was woeful. Fumbling, missing clean outs, missing tackles, pop gun kicks & and starving her outside backs by either kicking possession away or getting caught with it.

It just doesn’t seem right, does it?
Waratahs' finals hopes all but over after Daugunu magic sets up late Reds win, Suaalii knocked out in sickening blow
Does anyone know whether you can indeed sub players in the middle of scrum resets? I thought the aim was to get the resets done quickly. Also, it’s a bit like subbing on a goal kicker when given a kickable penalty. This isn’t allowed, why then subbing on a prop that is not an injury replacement? Surely the scrum on the field should finish the reset.

I still can’t understand how Doleman gets international gigs. His eyes are way too slow to pick things up.
I, too, thought he was improving, but alas.

Agree, the last few coaches see him as a battering ram. None would allow him to get a little wider with a bit more space to utilise his passing skills & running game. Surprisingly, Big Brad allowed him license to do this & got the best out of the big fellow.
'Do I know how to play rugby?': Wallaby's extraordinary admission ahead of Lions amid crisis of confidence
Yeah, if you want a good tight forward to score close to the line & be on the tailend of rolling mauls look no further than Carlos. But we want a #7 that is a link to the backs, runs great support & is bit of a ball player as well as the usual breakdown work, look no further than Fraser.
Last-minute try sinks Reds despite JTA heroics, Drua keep alive faint finals hopes
Yes, Amosa was very active around the field. Our scrum looked good but next week will tell us more.
Caslick is wasted on the wing, she saw bugger all ball. She is a ball player & probably has the best pass in the whole team. Hopefully Yapp can better utilise her then what we saw in that game.
Wallaroos smash Fiji to start World Cup year in style - but injuries put 'dampener' on super win
I wouldn’t read too much into McKenzie being left out this match, she’ll have her chances down the track. Yapp has a big squad to play around with things. Too many, maybe?
McKenzie left out of Wallaroos squad for Fiji Test as sevens stars retained - but star rejects notion of a rift
True, plus the extra cost.
The Wrap: Rugby has made an uncomfortable bed with TMOs - now it's time to lie in it
Geoff, do they need to have two TMO’s in the box to get faster pick-ups ? When one is looking at an incident the other is keeping an eye on live play? They have to make faster calls for the good of the game.
Though the knock on by the Blues should’ve been seen by at least one of the officials on the field at the time. Do the touchies need to lift their game?

They were booing everything that went against their team. It’s part of being a home crowd I suppose, but dial it back a bit when the decisions are pretty obvious.
Brumbies' top two hopes dealt savage blow as Hurricanes steamroll Larkham's backline to snap losing streak
Yes poor old Proctor, did everything right with his tackle setup then Muirhead jumps making it a dangerous situation for everyone involved.

I’m not normally a Williams fan. But I think he got all his foul/dangerous play calls right tonight.
I’d say the TMO would’ve brought the YC incident to his attention, if he didn’t he’s not doing his job properly.
Don’t be too swayed by the ignorant Brumby crowd, it’s all part of the theatre of the game, doesn’t mean the ref got it wrong because they booed.

Glad the Canes won, they were the only team keen on playing some decent footy.
Some of their ruck phase play & their ability to throw the ball around was beautiful to watch.

Add Lonergan as well. Had a night to forget.
Brumbies' top two hopes dealt savage blow as Hurricanes steamroll Larkham's backline to snap losing streak
Bernie’s game plan of sending shooters up in defence failed miserably. Lonergan should’ve been pinged regularly as he was offside with timing his shoots all night, ref Williams very lenient. Canes quickly worked out how to counter it. Cut out passes & a nice little grabber behind Muirhead.

Procter couldn’t wrap his arms because Muirhead clearly jumped. What was the point in wrapping when you had nothing to wrap around. Good call by Williams on this & on Naholo.

The Reds should’ve secured a BP there, they always seem to take their foot off the throat. Might cost them dearly in not getting a top two spot.
Reds' stoic defence rattles Blues as Kiss' men get season back on track on the back of Lynagh double
I don’t know how many try assists she had in her games but it was right up there with the best. Yapp has to find a place for her, Caslick nearly always beats the first defenders, maybe with the Tah’s outside backs she’ll click? I’d like to see her come into first five a lot more.
'Set up to fail': Levi's World Cup bid in peril as agent slams Rugby Australia for 'unfair' Wallaroos selection process
Yes, you’d think their one on one defence is great because if it wasn’t, you would be shown up big time in 7’s & dropped the next game. Usually, if you miss tackles a try is the result.
'Set up to fail': Levi's World Cup bid in peril as agent slams Rugby Australia for 'unfair' Wallaroos selection process
The Red’s coaches didn’t use her well. She’s a great distributor & has the best pass of the lot. Yet, she was just used as a hit up runner. Give it to Caslick & see what she can do sort of attitude. No one around her to run off her & she had to do it all herself.
Hopefully, Yapp can better utilise her.

Agree on Urwin, she has been very good & a fantastic find for the Reds.
Australia's sevens stars want to play at the World Cup - but they won't help unless one area is fixed
Halse looked like she was struggling at times to get in position defensively in that Blues game & was blowing hard
in goal after a couple of those tries.

I really thought the BF’s scrum & mauling would’ve put the Wallaroos to the sword. Whether they were feeling sorry for us or not they will have to improve greatly to counter the might of the Pommie pack. Early days yet though.
I hope you guys can get better as I think the BF’s alone are the only ones that can take it to the dominant English Roses.
