I disagree. I think we are still exactly where we were two years ago or even worse.
Wallaroos' drought against Black Ferns continues despite second-half comeback
The fact they picked her at fullback I think shows the game plan was to kick a lot of ball away.
Wallaroos' drought against Black Ferns continues despite second-half comeback
I just don’t see the need or upside of Hinds compared to other 7s players
Wallaroos name sevens guns, K-train to start as Yapp make mass changes for Black Ferns
This does not seem like clear thinking.
This is a coach panicking rather than focusing on picking the best team and improving incrementally

This is a terrible call by the coach. Setting hinds up to fail. Not the game for this when we have Cramer coming off her best super rugby season ever, as a 10 option. And Moleka playing well at 10 last year.
And then same for Caslick, playing all her footy at fullback and playing well there too.
If Stewart’s injury isong term in addition to Maddie Levi I’d be bringing in Buddies Dennis as a winger too. She’s n awesome ball runner. Speed and strength

You’re clearly delusional and bias. Tate is clearly the best 9 and you haven’t even mentioned him.
Wallabies star commits to Rugby World Cup campaign, reinforcements back for Tahs
This is a stupid idea and doesn’t deserve any air time or breath.
If they can’t even qualify for the RWC against other minnows and a team of just yanks can’t even in a game in their own domestic comp against second tier pros from overseas there’s no way an American team would be competitive in SRP. So it would need to be stacked with expats. That would provide absolutely Zero benefit to their national team. Other than a platform for important players to qualify via residency.
This would also be terrible for SRP which is now the best it’s ever been because all games are watchable and all players are knowable. Super Rugby very nearly died by adding Japan and Argentina.
America would be best pointing to south America and the much closer European continent. Look at how good Spain Portugal Uruguay and Chile have gone. USA and Canada need to find out what they did and verse those teams non stop until they bet them regularly
Exclusive: Super Rugby considering USA expansion as World Rugby gets edgy over looming World Cup
I’m not sure what you are talking about. There were two incidents all specifically involving KB. The gross text he mistakenly sent to the person it was making fun of. And KB wearing an inappropriate shirt for travel and behaving like a toddler when told so.
'Tough, isolating, a lot of thoughts crossing my mind': How 'Magic Mike' and family saved Kurtley's career
Disagree with your bit bout fullback options remaining few. We have heaps. Tom Wright easily first choice but I’d be just as happy with Kellaway or Campbell fullback, whilst I don’t think it’s Suaalii best position he’d be ok there and if we needed a strong kicking FB Donno could go there. It might be too early but Mac Grealy could be a future wallaby

I’ll never forget the reason McKenzie left Aus Rugby. But I wouldn’t wish the last few years on anyone. So I’m glad he’s made it back, again!, and it can’t be understated how hard the last few years would have been.
Good luck and I hope he lays well.
Hopefully we see him play Lions in the indigenous team. But give the Force game to Mac Grealy at fullback please.

Some interesting selection calls but still a very well selected team.
I’m not a huge fan of testing Hinds as a 9 at test level. Particularly when they already have a good 9 who’s come from 7s that can cover other backline positions
I also would have made em Chancellor captain and 7.
I really hope they aren’t going to chop and change the team lots until the RWC. We need to just pick and stick with our best team right the way through so that our advantage is cohesion and TWI. Because teams like England and NZ will have better individual players and more depth
Wallaroos name six debutants and new skipper for Test opener as Yapp shuts down fears of team angst
Spot on. Even Nongor is playing well now too. Shane about Schoups injury.
'How do we get there?': Schmidt sweats on Taniela's form and career call, sends message to Noah after Japan move
He absolutely does NOT provide “good go forward” he barely ever makes the gain line.

They still wouldn’t be my starting picks over Wilson and Valentini. But if either of those two were injured I’d call them up.
And Hooper could be a call up in the second row but we have lots of depth there.

Slipper is long passed it. He’s lucky at scrum time he isn’t penalised every time it goes down. We have much better props.
We need to get the best out of Tupou but we also need to be realistic about how much you can expect from him. His number one job is scrums. You can’t expect someone to be that big and play like a back rower. Scrums are extremely draining and his size is important. All of this means that his skill and speed is never going to be something you see non stop for 60mins in a game.

Hopefully it goes better than all the other staged transitions. Jones may have retained the Bledisloe but they were two test comps where he just won the home games didn’t he? End then he lost it and we never won it back again.
Gibson from Cheika and Richard Graham from McKenzie were terrible failures of staged coaching transitions at Super Rugby level as well.
'Honour of a lifetime': Kiss confirmed as Wallabies coach-in-waiting for World Cup, Schmidt to stay onboard
How long can we keep HMP at the Reds if Lynagh becomes the long term wallabies 10?
Particularly with that position seemingly wide open at the Brumbies from next year and the Waratahs not sure who their best 10 is either.
I’d hate to see him in Sky blue lol
Why 'robust and resilient' Tom Lynagh is set to be a big winner from Wallabies' Kiss delay
You forgot Cheika and Foley in your intro. 😂 just kidding I hope these two are just as successful as Larkham and McQueen.
Also, I think it’s important Tate is always paired with Lynagh and not Gordon. Because Tate is such a threat it means the defence can’t just target lynagh and his obvious forward runners.
Lynagh also has a great kick which would be wasted with Gordon’s average and over used box kicks

Laurie Fisher’s time to shine
Wallabies bombshell as Kiss to replace Schmidt in 2026 as part of 25-year first
I definitely see the logic in leaving some second rowers behind. We have so many and there has already been quite a few slogfests in wet weather that would be very draining on tight five forwards.
But backs need to play together lots to perform better. Lynagh and Paisami should go to Fiji.
Reds' Super Rugby title hopes dealt blow after Wallaby's injury revealed as Kiss hints at changes for Drua clash
Reds could also choose Max Craig or Andrew Ready at hooker. Both playing for Easts. I’m pretty sure Craig is with the Reds already?

Whilst I’m glad they finally have seen McKenzie isn’t near our best 10s I’m disappointed they haven’t seen she’s our best 12.
Hopefully they pick Terita at 13.
I’d probably start Halse at fullback and have Caslick on the bench.
I think they’ve made a mistake not picking Molloy as hooker
McKenzie left out of Wallaroos squad for Fiji Test as sevens stars retained - but star rejects notion of a rift
Interesting article. I don’t think Dawa is an international standard wing. I’d bring Levi in as a back up to replace an injured Stewart or Miller in the starting team.
The other 7s player I’d add is Henwood. To cover any positions 11-14. I’d probably leave out the rest of the unnamed 7s.
I’d also wouldn’t have included Hinds and instead had Carys in the squad.
Compared to the best women’s countries we don’t have the depth or ability so what we need to do is just have the best team. So I think we should pick our best team and have them okay as much game time as possible rather than chop and change constantly from the Fiji test onwards to the RWC.
Use internal trials or organise Aus A games to get the rest of the squad match fit and competing for spots
First Wallaroos squad of 2025 doesn't spring many surprises - but leaves plenty of tough questions
Yeah same I think Flook is extremely underrated. I also feel like we will lose him to overseas considering the commitments RA have made to Ikatau Ann’s Sualii
Reds' stoic defence rattles Blues as Kiss' men get season back on track on the back of Lynagh double
If they had Urwin in the squad I would have picked her wing.
I’d also be begging Kahli Henwood to join the Wallaroos.
