Glad to learn no serious injury.

'In good spirits': Wallabies star cleared of 'any serious injury' after scary moment

I will repeat, it is great for the southern hemisphere as you have just pointed out exactly what I have said. Using your logic, we may as well just scrap Test rugby and play club rugby globally.

I came into this game late. Missed what happened but hope he is ok.

I am a Reds fan and the Tahs got absolutely screwed over at the scrum. There was a long period where they had absolute dominance over the Reds front row which was standing up constantly. This was poor from the ref, I was stressed as hell waiting for a penalty and yellow cards. The Tahs 7 was also getting away with no release all game. The inconsistency from the ref was going both ways but he was inconsistency inconsistent.

I don’t like it when we are waiting for a random call. I like refs who are consistent with there interpretation but this guy was all over the place. At one point for two mauls where he called “that’s one” for stoppage so clearly a maul…the maul went down and he called tackle randomly and told the Tahs to roll away….. They are both collapse mauls and and just randomly changed the laws. For me he had the teams guessing on what he was going to call.

I don’t have a problem with players coming out of amateur systems so we need to stop this comparison I have made this clear over and over again. Everyone gets we are trying to create careers for players stuck in these poor countries..it is the already professional player being taken where the issue comes. You can’t have national teams full of professional players from other countries, systems taking away the professional pathways of the kids coming up through your own systems. Money is pouring into these northern competitions….but despite this, less people and in particular less males are playing the game now….because they are just watching the professional contracts going to southern hemisphere professionals. From our point of view it is great, but for the kids up northern…what’s the point… And we end up watching a Baa-Baas team touring Australia…just wearing red. But I will continue going at NH as he has been here and very vocal for sometime now shouting at how crap SH rugby is and how there is zero talent and the SH can’t produce any talent….so I will continue to remind him that the NH is just the great southern hemisphere competition of the North….

For me it is also just the first season, always a rollercoaster for a new coach. But I would without hesitation have hired this coach who must not be named, particularly given it is the Tahs.

Stressful game. That ref is terrible, both teams could have lost that game at any moment from a random ref call…bloody stressful! Hard fought game and felt like it warranted golden point with how hard the two teams went at each other in difficult conditions but as a Reds fan…super pumped with that late try. A lot of mitigating factors in the TT send off….I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was just a penalty either and a few times the scrum call could have gone either way. Happy to get the win in a difficult game that could have gone either way.

Only someone who realises the failure of the northern hemisphere would ever have that view of the Lions…. You have just confirmed what I expected, you do see how stuffed up the system is up north and how it has failed young rugby players in the northern hemisphere. No need to respond anymore, you clearly do fundamental understand.

You mean the kid who never played a professional game of rugby before…..keep dancing around it, you know as we all know the Northern hemisphere system can’t produce talent at school boy level or at professional level and is relying on buying professional players from the southern hemisphere to make a rugby competition that resembles some level of professional standards. The Lions, made up of all these northern rugby powers still has to run a team full of professional rugby players from the southern hemisphere. It is laughable. But anyways, I look forward to watching this rebranded Baa-Baas team tour Australia.

Australia pick up school kids from our school programs….we don’t just buy in professional players from the otherside of the world. Give yourself an uppercut.

Keep shouting at the mirror as the player decline continues….

At the moment the Oz backrow is very strong and Valantini is a one of a kind player. You can see in the Lions selection they are concerned about the Wallabies backrow.

Oz 15, not an Oz A. U20 is not Test rugby mate. You have a real thing about U20s rugby.

It is strange to say it but I think the Lions backline is going to be difficult to contain. Big bodies are going to apply a hell of a lot of pressure on the Wallabies.

And those few examples is what we are talking. Northern hemisphere rugby is full of professional Southern Hemisphere players suddenly playing for these national sides. A kid born in one country but they move and he plays in the new country, sure, nobody cares about that. It is the professional players moving. I doubt Scotland pays more then SA Rugby does for Test players. The Clubs he plays for will pay well but the Scotland side won’t compared to SA. Duhan VDM is player for Scotland because he is not good enough to play for SA.

A good reason why rugby needs to come down on it. But can you clarify foreign born next to professional player from one country moving to another then representing the national team. Not worried about players born in a other country, more existing professional players suddenly moving to play for different countries. More then happy for these professional players to go and represent there actual national team.

NBA and MLB are really more American sports. Do they even have a world cup? Does Football have a let anyone play for any country model?

I always find it interesting to see how they can transfer what they do at club level into the Test arena, where there is less space and time for the flashy stuff. It is going to be exciting to watch.

Will be interesting to see how he matches up against a southern hemisphere backrow. I doubt Valantini is all that concerned about him.

Really looking forward to this Baa-Baas tour

What an honour it must be for the northern hemisphere players to sit at home and watch the best of the southern hemisphere play. 😂…… Who ever said the barbarians concept is dead 😂

What an honour it must be for all that southern hemisphere talent.

Fairly certain most can agree that is is very different a school boy moving from a poor country with no professional pipeline then a professional athlete.
